# Giroud considering January move away from Arsenal

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is considering a move away from the club in January.

As quoted by [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en/news/giroud-waiting-on-right-offer-to-leave-arsenal-in-january-admits-/vcwmhcwen3ir1snyn6fvf65ko), the Frenchman’s agent discussed his client’s plans for the future and admitted that Giroud is pondering a temporary transfer to another club.

Giroud is out of favour at Arsenal, with Alexandre Lacazette the favoured option up top. This has limited Giroud’s first-team starts to cup competitions, with him featuring prominently in the Gunners’ Europa League campaign.

Michael Manuello, who represents Giroud, had this to say about the player’s current state of mind.

> Now, depending on the offers, we will sit around a table and talk. The most important thing is to know what will be offered or not this winter, to find a better project.

> There will be approaches. All clubs looking for an attacker are likely to come. We must be careful and, if there is something obvious that will appear, we will try to convince Arsene to return to what has been said.

Giroud came off the bench only recently to salvage Arsenal a point against Southampton, as he netted an 88th minute equaliser in the Premier League.

The likes of West Ham and Everton have been linked with Giroud and he certainly won’t be short of potential suitors should he choose to move on in January.

With the 2018 World Cup only around the corner, Giroud is sure to be keen on playing regular football in the second half of the season.
