Arsenal are “extensively” watching Sweden Under-21 international Pontus Dahlberg, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The young goalkeeper is being tipped for big things and a host of clubs across Europe are taking notice of him, with his stock increasing.

Dahlberg is coveted in his homeland and is generally regarded as one of the country’s brightest young goalkeepers. This has led to interest from the Premier League.

The Daily Mail state that along with Arsenal, Everton are casting a keen eye over Dahlberg as he continues to impress. However, Watford appear to be leading the race for the youngster.

It’s claimed that Watford are holding talks with Gothenburg over a move for the 18-year-old, worth just £3.3 million.

Dahlberg is a key player for his side but is clearly destined for big things, with a move away from Gothenburg appearing to be somewhat likely in the near future.

Arsenal should ramp up their pursuit of the prospect if they are indeed keen, though, with Watford advancing in their negotiations.
