Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is refusing to rule his side out of the title race this season, despite being 15 points behind league leaders Manchester City.
As reported by the Belfast Telegraph, Wenger, who was speaking after the game, remains hopeful of catching Pep Guardiola’s side this season.
I am here to fight as long as I can. As long as mathematically it’s possible you have to fight. You cannot give any other message out.
The Gunners lost 3-1 to Manchester United on Saturday night in one of the more entertaining matches of the season, but the result leaves them a point outside of the top four after 15 games.
At the start of the season, Wenger appeared to put all his eggs in one basket by focusing on the title race.
Wenger has opted to play the youngsters in the Europa League and refused to sell either Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez in the summer to try and push for the title.
