United loss ‘frustrating’ for Arsenal says Iwobi
Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi reveals that he is “frustrated” with the 3-1 loss to 10-man Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday and believes that the form of David De Gea was one of the reasons for the loss, according to a report on Goal.
The winger came on as an early substitute to replace the injured Shkodran Mustafi in the first half and the Gunners were already 2-0 down by the time he came on.
Iwobi has only managed to find the back of the net once in eight appearances in the Premier League so far this season as he fights for a starting position in the team.
The Nigerian international feels that the Gunners did enough to seal the victory but didn’t take their chances.
I’m very frustrated. You could see the passion and the aggression we played with today but unfortunately it wasn’t to be and we just need to credit Manchester United.
We were pushing to get the equaliser, had a few chances, but credit to their keeper, he made a few good saves. We didn’t take our chances and they capitalised on that and made it three, which basically killed the game
The youngster failed to make a lasting impact on the game but is ready to bounce back with a win in the UEFA Europa League this week as Arsenal take on Bate Borisov at the Emirates.
The Gunners are fifth in the Premier League and sit one point behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
