According to The Mirror, Arsene Wenger is adamant that he is still in charge of transfers at Arsenal, despite arrival of Barca Director of Football, Raul Sanllehi.
Sanllehi left his role at the Spanish giants to join Arsenal, where he will be in charge of transfer and contract negotiations but he will not suggest any players to the Frenchman, as he is still in full control of transfers.
Ivan Gazidis has also brought in Borussia Dortmund scout Sven Mislintat as head of recruitment at The Gunners, as Gazidis looks to switch up the backroom at the club, could this be the change which Arsenal fans are desperate for?
When asked about who has the role of identifying transfers, Wenger has come out and said “With me. Ivan has nothing to do with buying players.” Which may not go down well with the Arsenal faithful, as Wenger has brought in some sketchy players in his reign at The Gunners.
