Laurent Koscielny has his Arsenal exit planned out, as he intends to finish his playing career at Lorient, where he played for one season, 2009-10, before Arsene Wenger snatched him up, relatively unknown, but since has established himself as a true Arsenal player.
Loic Fery, President of Lorient, has spoken to the media about a conversation he had with the Arsenal vice-captain about a return back to his homeland.
Since leaving France to join Wenger and the Gunners in 2010, he has made just north of 300 appearances for Arsenal, with the 300th being the memorable victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby the other week.

Speaking to the media, Lorient President Fery said (via Goal):
He told me last week in London the wanted to finish his career at Lorient.
I hope he has a few more years playing for Arsenal.
However, as Koscielny is 32, with over 50 caps for France and is showing no signs of aging or slowing down, so Lorient know it will be a while until they get their man.
The Frenchman has made good partnerships with Shkodran Mustafi and Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker, who is in his last season as an Arsenal player, so Koscielny will be more of a senior and a very big shout to be captaining the Gunners next season. It just remains to be seen how long he will be in England for.
