# Griezmann unwilling to consider Arsenal move

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has said that Arsenal can forget about signing him.

Griezmann has revealed that he was left frustrated by Arsenal during his time at Real Sociedad, and that he still holds a grudge over what went down.

Arsenal were interested in signing him before his move to Atletico, with Griezmann claiming that scout Giles Grimandi told him to keep waiting for Arsenal to make their move.

Griezmann says that he was rejected every other offer as he looked to secure a move to Arsenal, before being told on deadline day that Arsenal were retracting their interest.

Arsene Wenger revived his interest at a later date, but Griezmann says that they can forget about signing him after letting him down in the past.

[As quoted by The Mirror,](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/forget-it-manchester-united-target-11606461) Griezmann said this:

> I waited, I waited, and I kept waiting.

> When there was no news, Eric called Grimandi, who said that the manager was still interested in me \[and\] to keep waiting.

> Finally a few hours before the market closed, he let us know Arsenal would not make a move. I don’t like to be told something and for it not to happen.

> So when Eric told me later that the London club were interested again I told him ‘Forget it, after the blow they gave us.
