Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has reportedly snubbed the chance to join Fenerbahce, with the player having his heart set on a move to Manchester United.
The German international’s contract at the Emirates Stadium expires at the end of the season, prompting links with a plethora of clubs across Europe – including Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Manchester United.
However, clubs such as Fenerbahce and Barcelona have been heavily touted with a move for the former Real Madrid man.
It looks as though Ozil will have no shortage of potential suitors when he does opt to move on but according to reports in Turkey, as covered by the Mirror, he will not be making the switch to Fenerbahce.
Ozil is understood to have identified Old Trafford as his preferred next destination, as he targets a shock reunion with former boss Jose Mourinho.
Arsenal remain hopeful that Ozil will put pen to paper on a new deal, though.
