Goretzka set to make decision on his future

Schalke director Christian Heidel has said that Arsenal target Leon Goretzka is set to make a decision on his future soon.

There were reports earlier this month that Premier League side Liverpool reached an agreement to sign Goretzka when the next transfer window opens.

The report claimed that Goretzka has rejected advances from Barcelona to seal a move to Liverpool.

Heidel, however, appears to be none the wiser to this and insists the midfielder is yet to make his decision, leaving Arsenal still with a chance to sign the German.

Goretzka has been in superb form for Schalke of late and is attracting interest from some of Europe’s elite.

As quoted by The Liverpool Echo, Schalke’s sporting director Christian Heidel, when asked about Goretzka, said this:

I think if Schalke had no chance to keep him I would be the first to know that. But I haven’t received that kind of information until now.

Leon will make a decision soon without us building any pressure on him.

The German midfielder has scored four goals in nine games for Schalke this season and has scored six goals in 12 caps for Germany.
