Arsenal will be paying somewhere in region of €2 million to secure the services of Borussia Dortmund scout Sven Mislintat.
A report from Bild suggests that a deal will be completed in the coming days, with Mislintat due to start working at the club before the new year.
Mislintat is currently under contract until 2021 at Dortmund, meaning the Gunners will have to spend in order to get their man.
The scout has built up quite the reputation in Germany, where he was part of deals that saw Dortmund sign the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
While he was also influential in deals involving Ousmane Dembélé and Christian Pulisic.
The deal to sign Mislintat is believed to be part of a wider re-structure behind the scenes at the Emirates Stadium.
Mislintat could be joined by Michael Zorc, also of Dortmund, who is being linked with the position of director of football.
