# Arsenal players are behind Wenger says Iwobi

Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi says the entire Gunners’ squad are behind Arsene Wenger, despite the growing pressure on the Frenchman.

With Arsenal outside of the top four ahead of a big weekend of football, pressure had been mounting on the manager at the Emirates as they prepare to face local rivals Tottenham.

As reported by [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/everyones-got-arsene-wengers-back-at-arsenal-says-alex-iwobi/jpdpx6jbe18f1gmi0e55zvsw7), Iwobi told Soccer Laduma that everyone at the club is staying positive about the Frenchman’s future at the club.

> I think he is a very good man. He is very patient. Wherever he goes, there are going to be critics. He is getting these comments, but I think he is dealing with it very well. He is focused on the next job, and on the next game.

> He doesn’t really let the critics get to him. At the end of the day, fans are entitled to say what they want to say. But the coach keeps on pushing. He is well respected and everyone has his back.

Wenger signed a new two-year contract at the end of last season after lifting the FA Cup at Wembley.

Many fans and pundits alike had expected the manager to leave after his latest cup success.

The Gunners know that a win against Spurs this weekend could move them within one point of their rivals and Manchester United, depending on other results.
