Arsenal plan to replace chief scout Rowley with Mislintat

Arsenal are looking to replace chief scout Steve Rowley with Borussia Dortmund talent-spotter Sven Mislintat.

According to a report from the Telegraph, the Gunners are aiming to overhaul their recruitment team, with Rowley’s departure already being negotiated.

Coinciding with this, German news outlet Kicker report that the Gunners are in ‘advanced talks’ with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, as they look to lure the club’s chief scout Mislintat to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have been on the lookout for new figures in their hierarchy for some time now, with plenty of directors of football having been lined up.

However, it looks as though Wenger will be given a helping hand with a revamped recruitment setup, with Mislintat at the heart of it, should talks progress well.

58-year-old Rowley has been a mainstay behind the scenes with Arsenal and has been a part of the scouting process for well over 30 years now.

However, Arsenal are seemingly keen to find new ideas and methods from elsewhere. Mislintat has enjoyed success at Dortmund and has often been praised for his largely impressive scouting of hidden gems.
