Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger remains interested in a deal to bring Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling to the club.
According to The Daily Mail, Wenger is planning on reigniting his interest in Sterling in the January transfer window.
The report claims that Arsenal will look to use Manchester City’s pursuit of Alexis Sanchez to land Sterling.
Manchester City are set to make their own renewed move for Sanchez, after failing to land the forward in the summer.
They reportedly agreed a deal on deadline day before Arsenal pulled out of the deal after their failed attempt to sign AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.
Sterling has scored ten goals for Manchester City this season and has been lauded as one of the best players in the Premier League.
Sanchez is in the last year of his contract at Arsenal and could leave on a free transfer next summer, whereas Manchester City are in no rush to let go of Sterling.
