According to the Metro, Bayern Munich will try and sign Olivier Giroud after Robert Lewandowski complains about workload.
Lewandowski is undoubtedly one of Bayern Munich’s main men, but he has said recently that he is unhappy with the lack of depth which the German giants have in the striker position, which could mean he is more likely to get injured.
The Polish goal-scorer said:
It would definitely be an option to sign a hungry, young striker who wants to learn from an experienced player, it would be a relief for me to play 15 or 20 minutes less in a game, then you have more energy for the next games and a higher probability of staying fit and minimising the risk of injury.
The man whose name has come up as a backup to Lewandowski is Arsenal’s Giroud, who is used to being a backup at Arsenal to Alexis Sanchez last season and Alexandre Lacazette this season.
Although he may want to move for more first-team football, which Bayern may not be able to offer, it will still be a great opportunity for the French target man, who will be winning trophies and playing Champions League football at Bayern, which Arsenal can not offer right now.
