Arsenal keen to sign in-demand Nabil Fekir
After Nabil Fekir’s impressive start to the season with Lyon, plenty of European clubs are keeping a close eye on the playmaker, including Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, The Guardian report.
Fekir, 24, has been one of Ligue 1’s top performers so far, with 11 goals in his 11 appearances in the league, guiding Lyon to third in the table, behind Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain.
The French international’s high-class performances have alerted Wenger, as he contemplates making a move for the player in January, with the Guardian also suggesting Barcelona may see Fekir as a cheaper alternative to their number one target Philippe Coutinho.
Fekir could be a potential replacement for either Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil, with both players contracts up in the summer, and their futures undecided.
Arsenal could attract Fekir, with the player already admitting Spain and England are the only two leagues the Frenchman would consider leaving his boyhood club for.
