# Ian Wright says Theo Walcott needs to leave Arsenal

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright believes it is time for Theo Walcott to leavs the Emirates and move onto a new challenge, as per his interview with [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/11097474/theo-walcott-should-leave-arsenal-says-ian-wright-on-the-debate?utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral).

Walcott, 28, has only featured in the Premier League this season three times, with most of his game time coming in the Carabao Cup and Europa League, and Wright, talking on the Sky Sports debate show, believes the forward, who has over 100 goals for the Gunners, should move on after 11 years at the club.

When asked whether the England international should leave, Wright said:

> I think so, for his own sake. I’m not sure where he can go now with Arsenal and he’s only playing in the Carabao Cup and the Europa League. He’ll want to finish on a high in respect of what he’s doing, he’s given Arsenal great service in the time he’s been there and for me he should move on for himself.

The forward has contributed to the Gunners this season however, scoring the winner against Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup and two decisive goals in the Europa League away at Bate Borisov.

With Walcott not getting regular Premier League minutes, Arsene Wenger may look to offload the forward in the January window, if both parties agree on it, as there is bound to be plenty of Premier League interest in the player.
