Olivier Giroud wins 2017 FIFA Puskas award

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has won the 2017 FIFA Puskas award.

The accolade has proved to be an illustrious honour since it’s creation, and Giroud is sure to have taken great pride in seeing his goal named as the most impressive in the calendar year.

The France international’s incredible “scorpion kick” against Crystal Palace last season has been named as the best goal of the year, seeing off several other outstanding finishes throughout the course of 2017.

Arsenal came out on top in the game as 2-0 victors, thanks to the wonder goal from Giroud, along with a well-placed header from Alex Iwobi.
