City only want to pay £20m for Sanchez in January

Manchester City are only willing to spend £20 million on Alexis Sanchez in January, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League leaders have set their sights on a cut-price deal in January, but could also wait until the summer to sign the player on a free transfer.

Pursuing a January move for the player would allow City to play him in the Champions League, with Sanchez not cup-tied for the competition.

City were linked with a move for the Chilean throughout the summer and failed with a late £60 million bid with Arsenal refusing to sell.

Arsene Wenger confirmed in his pre-match press conference that both Sanchez and Mesut Ozil could leave the club in January.

Both players will see their contracts expire at the end of the season and selling in January will allow the Gunners to make some money back from the duo and avoid losing both of them for nothing.
