Former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson has claimed that Carlo Ancelotti is not the right man to manage the club.
Arsene Wenger seems to be constantly under threat of losing his job, although most of the tension appears to come from the fans, rather than the board at Arsenal.
Wenger signed a new two-year contract with Arsenal at the end of last season after he won the FA Cup for the third time in four seasons.
An impressive statistic, but Arsenal’s lack of league success and dropping out of the Champions League is still causing backlash.
Arsenal have not won the Premier League since their invincible seasons over a decade ago.
Carlo Ancelotti’s name has been mentioned on social media a lot in the past week after he left Bayern Munich.
The Italian, Champions League winning, coach left with Bayern five points adrift of Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga table.
Speaking to ESPN, Robson explains why Ancelotti would not be right for Arsenal:
I think someone needs to go into Arsenal that’s going to kick their backsides, [and] be a better coach. Simeone would do a good job.
Ancelotti would not be the right fit. Not the right fit for Arsenal.
