# Former Chelsea man Alex backs Lucas Moura to join Arsenal

Former Chelsea man and Brazil international Alex has insisted that PSG winger Lucas Moura would be the perfect fit for Arsenal.

As quoted by the [Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/psgs-lucas-moura-advised-to-join-arsenal-by-former-chelsea-player-alex-a3651106.html), Alex discussed his compatriot’s future as he continues to receive a lack of game time at PSG as a result of their attacking quality.

> I would like to see him at Arsenal.

The ex-Chelsea centre-back believes that Lucas would be a better suit to Arsenal’s way of playing, as speculation mounts over his future.

> They play cleaner football, more technical. He had contacts, I believe. That would be a good option for him this winter.

Alex played alongside Lucas during his tenure at PSG near the end of his playing days, and will be well aware of what the tricky wide man has to offer.

With the 2018 World Cup coming up at the end of the season, Lucas is sure to be keen on forcing his way into Brazil manager Tite’s plans, given his lack of involvement in large parts already this season.

Arsenal could be set to lose both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez as they continue to run down their contracts, and Lucas may well be an option in terms of a replacement.
