Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez angered their Arsenal team mates last month by skipping a media day which was held as part of the club’s corporate and sponsorship agreements, reports the Evening Standard.
Both players were excused as being ill and did not attend as the rest of their Arsenal team mates fulfilled their media duties, which is part and parcel of being a footballer nowadays.

The duo’s absence is said to have infuriated their team mates, with the injured Danny Welbeck and fringe player Mathieu Debuchy among those who showed the star duo up by attending.
Both Sanchez and Ozil are in the final year of their respective contracts and will be free to leave the club for no fee in the summer — and with no progress on new contract talks with either player and now this news that both have skipped their contractual media obligations, it seems almost set in stone that the Chilean winger and the German midfielder are to leave the Emirates come the end of the season.
Manchester City are thought to be the favourites to sign Sanchez, although Arsene Wenger is thought to be keen on a swap deal with PSG for German attacker Julian Draxler — meanwhile, Manchester United are said to be interested in a January move for Ozil, with Inter Milan also lurking.
