Arsenal and Chelsea transfer target Kostas Manolas, who came close to joining Zenit St Petersburg during the summer transfer window, is set for contract talks with current club AS Roma, with the club keen to see him extend his stay in the Italian capital.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via TalkSPORT), the Greek international centre-back and his agent are due to meet with Roma’s sporting director, Monchi, this month, as interest grows from both Arsenal and Chelsea.

Manolas, 26, joined Roma from Olympiakos in 2014 and has since become a key figure for the Stadio Olimpico side, making 138 appearances in little over three seasons since his arrival in Italy.
He has been capped 31 times for Greece since making his international debut in 2013 and will hope to be at the World Cup with his country next summer — the Greeks are currently third in the qualification group, one point behind second-placed Bosnia-Herzegovina with just two games left to play.
Manolas, who stands at 6 foot 2 inches tall, is a centre-back who is dominant in the air but also has a keen eye for a pass and is certainly accomplished with the ball at his feet — he is also very strong and rather quick for a defender; he’d fit right in in the Premier League, on paper at least.
