# Wenger reveals his demands for Iwobi

Arsene Wenger has been discussing his expectations of Alex Iwobi for the season ahead, the [Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/arsene-wenger-demands-double-figures-in-goals-and-assists-from-arsenal-star-alex-iwobi-a3647906.html) reports.

The Nigerian international netted in the Gunners’ 2-0 win over Brighton on Sunday afternoon, helping them to yet another important win after Nacho Monreal opened the scoring.

> He’s the kind of player who has a good availability, helps you a lot to get out of pressure when you’re in the build-up game and creates spaces.

Iwobi has been patient as he looks for regular opportunities in the first-team, and is currently in a good spell of form.

Wenger is evidently a fan of Iwobi, and is expecting big things for the young winger. He outlined his expectations from him for the remainder of the campaign, and it’s safe to say that the Frenchman is setting the bar high.

> But what you want from him is the final balls and goals as well. A player like him must score 10 goals and he must as well give between six and 10 assists. That’s what I want of him.

Iwobi, who is still just 21-years-old, has been catching the eye this season and is looking to kick on following another successful campaign at the Emirates last term.

The goal against Brighton was the first of the season for Iwobi, and he’ll now look to nail down a place in Wenger’s starting line-up.
