Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is set to miss the clash with Brighton in the Premier League this weekend.
The Gunners host Brighton at The Emirates on Sunday as they look to build on their win over West Brom.
A double from Alexandre Lacazette secured the three points for Arsenal as they beat The Baggies 2-0.
However, they will now have to overcome newly promoted Brighton without their star creative midfielder, Mesut Ozil.
The Evening Standard claim that Arsene Wenger said Ozil would miss the clash, although he is quoted as saying it would only be a “short-term” injury.
The German playmaker is in the last year of his contract at Arsenal and has recently been linked with Inter Milan.
Unless he signs an extension on his deal, he will be free to speak to potential new clubs in the January transfer window – as they long as they are outside of England.
