Bellerin keen for Arsenal to push on against West Brom

Hector Bellerin has urged Arsenal to build on their recent upturn in form when they face West Brom on Monday evening.

Arsenal lost two of their first three games of the season including a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool, but have recovered to win three of their past four games in all competitions. Their full back Bellerin believes that these results have helped restore confidence to the Arsenal dressing room.

He said in an interview with Sky Sports, as quoted by the Daily Star:

Even before Chelsea, the games against Bournemouth and in the Europa League helped the team build up the momentum.
And the last few games against Chelsea, we have always come out on top and the team was confident we could do the same again.

We were a bit disappointed as we had chances to score and when you come out of the game thinking, ‘we could have won that’, it is a bit disappointing.

But to perform away from Stamford Bridge, which is always hard, and to come out with a clean sheet and a solid performance was very good for the mood in the team and the club.

Bellerin believes that Arsenal need to keep up the hard work and not get carried away by the side’s return to form. Despite their problems on the road Arsenal have a 100% winning record at home this season, winning both their Premier League matches at the Emirates and also a Europa League game and EFL Cup tie.

West Brom head into the game winless in their past three Premier League matches and with a dire away record in 2017. The Baggies have only won one of their 11 Premier League away matches this calendar year. Yet, their impressive home form has ensured they sit a comfortable tenth in the table.
