# Wenger discusses Lacazette’s start to life with Arsenal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been discussing how Alexandre Lacazette has adjusted to life in the Premier League.

The Gunners signed the striker for a club-record fee reported to be in the region of £45 million this summer. Arsenal had tracked Lacazette for a long time since he burst onto the scene with Lyon, and were finally able to secure his services in July.

Lacazette has already netted on two occasions in the Premier League, with his strikes coming against Leicester and Bournemouth. The 26-year-old has been eased into the side by Wenger, who has been impressed with what he’s seen so far from his compatriot.

As quoted by the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/arsene-wenger-admits-alexandre-lacazette-11215667), Wenger said:

> I believe he has first of all adapted to the team play, he connects well with the other players, he is disciplined, he works hard for the team and on the technical and tactical aspect I am very pleased.

The Gunners boss also spoke of how Lacazette will need more time to adapt to the Premier League’s physical demands.

> He still needs to adapt to the physical aspect of the Premier League and that will take a little bit of time, but on the other fronts there is no problem at all.

Next up for Arsenal is West Brom on Monday night, and Lacazette will be keen to net once again at the Emirates.
