Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola hasn’t ruled out a move for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez in the future.
The Citizens made efforts to land the Chile international throughout the course of the summer, only for the Gunners to finally accept an offer in the region of £60 million on the final day of the window.
Sanchez was keen to rejoin forces with Guardiola, but saw his move fall through as Arsenal failed to land Thomas Lemar in a £92m deal from Monaco.
The Spanish tactician is a known admirer of Sanchez and, as quoted by BT Sport, admitted that he wanted to bring the former Barcelona man to the Etihad in the summer.

Of course we were interested in him (but) at the end Arsenal decided not to sell him. So, all the best for Alexis. I know him from Barcelona. And that’s all. Sometimes the deals work, sometimes not.
Guardiola was coy when discussing reports of his side making a move for Sanchez in the future, but will know that the deal is set to be plausible.
I don’t know what’s going to happen in the wintertime or next season. He’s an Arsenal player.
Sanchez is free to leave Arsenal next summer, with his contract coming to an end. It remains to be seen whether City make a January move for the versatile attacker or not, though.
