PSG forward Kylian Mbappe has revealed that he met with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to discuss a move to the club last month.
The forward completed a mega move to PSG during the summer transfer window, joining on a season-long loan with the option to buy for €180m.
PSG presumably signed Mbappe on loan to avoid financial fair play regulations, having already signed Neymar from PSG for €222m earlier in the window.
The official permanent transfer next summer will make Mbappe the world’s most expensive ever striker in history.

However, it could have gone differently for Mbappe, who has admitted that he met with Wenger before his move to PSG.
Mbappe says that Arsenal were a serious option, but he ended up deciding to join PSG – whom he has supported since a very young age.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Mbappe said this:
Yes, I met with Arsene Wenger, who is a great coach.
He has a great reputation here in France, he’s well-respected and knows how to develop young players. This was a real option for me. But, of course, Paris Saint-Germain was the main option.
Arsenal signed Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette over the summer.
