Inter Milan winger Yann Karamoh has admitted that Arsenal were interested in signing him before his move to Italy.
Twitter: Ex-Caen attacker Yann Karamoh to Mediaset Premium: “PSG wanted me, there was Arsenal, Monaco & Lyon too, but I wanted Inter Milan.” (@GFFN)
As quoted by Get French Football (see above), Karamoh says that a number of teams were keen before he decided to make the switch to Inter.
The French winger was the target of several top European clubs, as he admits that PSG, Monaco and Lyon – as well as Arsenal – were potential destinations.
Instead, Karamoh opted to move to Inter in Italy and further his career there, rather than stay in France or move to the Premier League with Arsenal.
Karamoh joined Inter on a two-year loan, with the obligation to buy at the end of the two years.
The 19-year-old scored five goals for Caen in Ligue 1 last season.
