According to Calcio Mercato, Shkodran Mustafi’s agent, who happens to be his father, has confirmed that his son will stay at Arsenal for this season.
Inter Milan have become interested in Mustafi as they look to bolster their defence but with these recent quotes, it looks like they will have to look elsewhere.
Arsenal are already struggling in defence and for defenders, so a move for Mustafi was very unlikely when the reports first came out.
Inter have also been reportedly interested in Manchester City’s Eliaquim Mangala and West Ham’s Angelo Ogbonna.

After great performances for Valencia, Mustafi earned a move to the Premier League with Arsenal last season for £36m and he impressed for The Gunners as they had a good start to their Premier League campaign.
However, he did suffer an injury which kept him out for most of the rest of the season and since his return, he couldn’t show the same form he did when he first joined the club, especially in a very bad performance in the clubs 1-0 loss to Stoke this season.
