Arsenal have rejected a bid for Alexis Sanchez from Manchester City today.
According to various journalists, a bid worth £50m was made from City, who are still keen to secure the services of the Chilean international this summer.

However, according to the Daily Mail’s northern journalist Jack Gaughan, the Gunners have knocked back this offer, with them keen to keep hold of their key man.

City are still confident that a deal can be reached before the close of the window on Thursday, but it looks as though they will need to stump up well over the £50m they have had rejected.
Sanchez is not set to pen a new contract with the Gunners and if he remains at the club until the end of his deal, which expires next summer, he will be allowed to leave on a free transfer.
