Arsene Wenger is not ruling out the departure of German defender, Shkodran Mustafi amid interest from Inter Milan, as reported by the Telegraph.
After a disappointing performance against Stoke and many poor performances last campaign, Mustafi’s future at the Emirates has come into question and Italian giants, Inter Milan are interested in the defender.
Mustafi joined the Gunners last summer for £35 million from Valencia and after a year of injuries, he could leave only a year into his five-year contract which he signed when he joined.
Arsenal have already sold a centre back this transfer window, letting Gabriel Paulista go back to La Liga to join Mustafi’s former side, Valenica, for £10 million so selling Mustafi will weaken their defence further.

In Wenger’s most recent press conference, he said this about the Mustafi situation when asked whether the German would be sold or not:
It’s difficult for me to speak about any individual cases because we are now in the final seven days of the transfer market. It’s always very difficult to predict what will happen there. You have to make quick and sharp decisions, and you cannot plan that and come out in the press conference with how you will respond to any solicitation.
