# Monaco enquire for Alexis Sanchez

AS Monaco have reportedly lodged an enquiry for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.

According to a report from French news outlet RMC Sport, as covered this evening by GFFN, Monaco have asked after the Chilean forward. Sanchez has just under a year remaining on his current deal at the Emirates, and has been subject to plenty of speculation regarding his future.

PSG have been linked with a move, while Bayern Munich have also been cited with interest over the last few months. Manchester City, however, appear to be Sanchez’s preferred destination.

Despite this though, the former Barcelona man is wanted at the Emirates, and it looks as though Arsene Wenger is willing to let the forward leave on a free transfer next summer if it means keeping him for another season.

Monaco’s move for Sanchez is certainly ambitious, but it is a seemingly unlikely one.
