# Arsenal Match Ratings: Stoke (A)

Arsenal were hugely underwhelming this evening, and fell short to a resilient Stoke City side.

The Gunners entered the game off the back of a narrow, yet spectacular win over Leicester City last weekend, and were keen to build on their triumph at the Emirates.

Stoke, on the other hand, headed into the match looking to bounce back. They were defeated 1-0 by Everton away from home last week, and were keen to make the loss up to their home crowd in the Bet365 Stadium tonight.

It was a cagey affair throughout. Both sides had questionable decisions turned down, but it was Stoke who broke the deadlock and took the lead.

Jese Rodriguez managed to race onto a ball in the box and finish coolly beyond Petr Cech and into the goalkeeper’s left hand corner.

This would be the decisive goal, and Arsenal were sent packing with a defeat to ponder.

Here are our player ratings for the Gunners.
