Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista is edging closer to sealing a move away from the club.
According to a report from the Evening Standard today, the Brazilian centre-back has arrived in Valencia as he prepares to undergo a medical ahead of his move.
Gabriel has been linked with a return to Spain for a short while now and it looks as though, barring any unexpected complications in his medical examinations, he will put pen to paper on a deal to sign for Valencia.
It’s been claimed that the transfer is worth a fee of £10m, which is just short of what Arsenal paid Villarreal for the central defender.
Arsene Wenger is keen to trim up his squad ahead of what promises to be a busy campaign for his Arsenal side, and it appears as though Gabriel is not regarded as necessary to have.
The former Vitoria man joined Arsenal in 2015 for £11.3m.
