Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that Alexis Sanchez is set to leave the club on a free transfer next summer.
Sanchez has one year left on his contract with the club but Arsenal are refusing to sell him.
This is despite Sanchez’s unwillingness to sign a new deal with Arsenal – as he potentially looks for a move away.
PSG and Manchester City have been heavily linked with Sanchez, though neither appear to have come close to agreeing a deal.

Arsenal are desperate to keep him and Wenger says he would rather lose him on a free next summer over selling him before the end of the month.
Speaking to Goal, Wenger said this about Sanchez’s contract negotiations:
We’ve not made any progress on that front.
Him leaving for free is a consequence of what I say – unfortunately.
We have to make a choice between efficiency on the field and financial interest. Most of time if you can find a good compromise it is better, but in this case I think I will prioritise the sporting side.
The North London club would miss out on a big payday in terms of a transfer fee for Sanchez but believe he could make up for that by helping them achieve success this season.
