According to L’Equipe, via GFNF, Marseille are weighing up an offer for Arsenal fullback Mathieu Debuchy.
The report claims that Marseille are very interested in signing the defender this summer as they look for a new right-back.
Debuchy is currently in talks with Arsenal to settle his contract and be able to leave the club for free.
This would make it easier for him to complete a move to Marseille – and would allow him to join a club even after the window closed.
Rudi Garcia, Marseille’s manager, worked with Debuchy at Lille, with the pair now looking set for a reunion.
Debuchy, arguably, played the best football of his career at Lille and will be looking to recapture his form in Ligue 1 next season if the deal goes through.
Arsenal are looking to move on a number of fringe players this summer, with Debuchy being one of them.
