# Deportivo refusing to increase their Perez bid

La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna are refusing to increase their £11 million bid for Lucas Perez.

The [Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/deportivo-reluctant-to-up-11m-offer-for-arsenal-outcast-lucas-perez-as-gunners-demand-134m-a3612241.html) report that Arsenal are demanding closer to £13.4 million for the forward who they signed just last summer.

The Gunners are desperate to trim their squad before the end of the transfer window and having fallen out of favour at the Emirates, Perez is one of the most likely to leave.

Reports have suggested that no further talks regarding the player’s price tag will take place, while a deal is still expected to be reached.

The Spanish forward joined last summer from Deportivo for around £17 million but has failed to settle in England and didn’t do much to impress when given the chance.

The arrival of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon was the final nail in the coffin for Perez, with Lacazette given the Spaniard’s shirt number, all-but signalling the end of his time at the club.
