Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are eyeing up a move for Arsenal’s German playmaker Mesut Ozil next summer if they lose French forward Antoine Griezmann, according to a report on the Daily Star.
News outlet Don Balon claim that Antoine Griezmann is likely to leave the Spanish capital next summer and if he does then the club will look to replace him with Ozil, who only has one year remaining on his contract.
The Spanish club could offload Griezmann for a huge price and replace him with Ozil for free, which would be considered as fantastic business by the club.

Atletico boss Diego Simeone is said to be a huge admirer of Ozil and has put his at the top of his transfer target list for next summer.
Atletico are currently under a transfer ban which prevents them from registering new players until January 2018 but will make a move for Ozil in the summer.
The 28-year-old has stalled contract talks with Arsenal who are pushing for the German to extend his contract at the club. Manager Arsene Wenger is confident that Ozil will sign a new long-term deal at the club but with interest from some top European clubs, this may not happen.
The attacking midfielder is reportedly keen to return to the Spanish La Liga where he was so impressive for Real Madrid.
