Three Stars of the Match: Arsenal 4-3 Leicester

As per usual, Arsenal started their season with a stressful match. Alexandre Lacazette got his debut goal less than two minutes into the match, but Leicester and Shinji Okazaki answered back just a few minutes later and then the visitors took the lead through Jamie Vardy.

Most Arsenal fans thought the season would start in typical Gunners fashion with a loss to a beatable team, but Wenger and his boys managed to come out on top and grab three points to start the season, which is something that the north London club has struggled with in the first matches of seasons in the recent past.

The club had a makeshift back line to start the game, with Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal making up two of the back three, even though they are usually deployed on the left side of the defence. Additionally, the fact that Arsenal scored four goals without Alexis Sanchez is pretty impressive.

It was not the cleanest win, but the three points is all that matters at the end of the day. Here are the three top players from Arsenal’s victory over Leicester to start the 2017/18 Premier League campaign.
