# PSG hand Arsenal big boost regarding Sanchez

PSG have handed Arsenal a big boost in regards to Alexis Sanchez.

According to the [Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/08/08/paris-saint-germain-drop-transfer-interest-alexis-sanchez-giving/), the French giants have dropped their interest in signing the Chilean attacker this summer, with a move looking increasingly unlikely.

It’s been recently suggested that Sanchez is happy to see out the final year of his Arsenal contract, which will therefore see him walk away from the club on a free transfer.

There has been a lot of interest in Sanchez this summer, with trio PSG, Manchester City and Bayern Munich all being the heavily linked sides, but Sanchez’s future for the next season at least appears to be at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are understood to be keen on extending Sanchez’s current deal at the club, but with the former Barcelona man seemingly ready to part company with the Gunners, a long-term stay is unlikely.

PSG spent a huge chunk of their budget this summer on a record-breaking deal for Neymar, therefore ruling out a move for Sanchez.
