Arsenal made it nine straight wins at Wembley Stadium with a penalty shootout win over London neighbours and reigning Premier League champions Chelsea.

The teams could not be split after 90 minutes. Victor Moses opened the scoring for Antonio Conte’s side, however, after Pedro’s sending off, new signing Sead Kolašinac headed home from the resulting free-kick.

The ABBA format was tested out for the first time in England and Arsenal won the shootout, scoring each of their four penalties.
