Manchester City are hopeful of Arsenal target Jadon Sancho signing a new deal with the club, according to The Mirror.
Sancho has been heavily linked with a move away from City this summer after turning down a professional contract with the club.
Sancho does not see himself being able to break into City’s first team, with Arsenal and Tottenham reportedly ready to swoop.
The winger has refused to train over the last week, but City still believe that they could change their mind.
Sancho appears to believe he would have more of a chance at breaking into senior football elsewhere.
This is despite the fact that he was training with Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad, at the age of 17.
City offered Sancho a three-year deal in March but the midfielder rejected the offer.
Sancho is regarded as one of the best talents of his age group in Europe and would be a top addition to any academy.
