Arsenal face competition from PSG for Jean Seri

Arsenal appear to have a genuine interest in signing OGC Nice midfielder Jean Seri this summer.

However, according to reports from out in France, it looks as though they are not alone in their admiration of the Ivory Coast international, with PSG now being linked.

French news outlet Le Parisien, as cited by talkSPORT today, state that the Ligue 1 outfit are keen to continue their summer spending by landing the coveted Nice midfielder.

Seri has a release clause worth in the region of £35m, which is certainly a fee that both Arsenal and PSG can afford. However, the latter may be a more attractive proposition for the player at this stage, with Champions League football on offer.

Arsene Wenger isn’t finished yet in the market and is understood to be keen on signing Thomas Lemar from Monaco. Despite this, a move for Jean Seri would certainly take a large chunk out of Arsenal’s budget, and therefore rule out a switch for the French international.
