# Hellas Verona keen to land Arsenal defender

Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson is likely to be on the move this summer.

The right-back is wanted by a host of clubs across the continent, and according to [reports in Italy](https://www.football-italia.net/106910/verona-ask-arsenal-jenkinson), the latest team to express an interest is Serie A outfit Hellas Verona.

Jenkinson, who has spent loan spells away at West Ham, is no longer in Arsene Wenger’s plans, with the Frenchman keen to trim the deadwood in his Arsenal squad.

The 25-year-old has already been linked with the likes of Brighton and Newcastle this summer, but it looks as though he could be wanted out in Italy.

Jenkinson has just one year remaining on his deal, and the Gunners are keen to take some money from his sale this summer, as opposed to seeing him walk away on a free at the end of his current deal.

Hellas Verona appear to be showing signs of intent this summer upon their return to Serie A, and Jenkinson would undoubtedly be a shrewd bit of business.
