Arsenal are interested in signing Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, according to his agent.
The Czech Republic international has gone from strength to strength in Serie A and has subsequently attracted attention from a plethora of top flight clubs across Europe.
Jakto has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time now and according to his representative Beppe Riso, the Gunners have been casting a keen eye over his progress.
Riso, as quoted by talkSPORT, told Sport Italia:
Arsenal like him, he’s a lover of English football, and he’s also liked by Juve, Inter and other teams. Still, he’s young, he’s 21 years old, he must be calm and he’s only thinking about Udinese.
After that, we’ll see. Do I see him more in the Premier League than other Leagues? Yes.
The 21-year-old appears to be destined for big things and a move away from Udinese could very well be on the cards in the near future. With the 2018 World Cup approaching, he’ll be keen to impress for his country and stake his claim ahead of the coveted tournament.
Riso’s indication that both Inter Milan and Juventus are keen suggests that Arsenal will face a battle to land Jankto, but the player himself appears to be keen on a switch to the Premier League.
