According to the Spaniard’s agent, Rodrigo Fernandez, Deportivo have offered the best deal to take striker Lucas Perez back to Spain.
The 28-year-old only started nine games last season for the Gunners and has therefore been tipped to leave the club, especially now Arsenal have brought in record-signing Alexandre Lacazette.
The Express have reported the Spanish side have offered £9m for their former striker but that is considerably lower than the £17m price-tag Arsenal paid for him last season.
The striker also reportedly wants the move back to Deportivo and so a deal may soon materialise.
The slim chance he has to make the Spain squad for the World Cup next year will need to see the 28-year-old gain regular game-time in order to battle his way into the squad, which he can’t do at Arsenal.
Teams will be interested in Perez but it seems him and his agent have their hearts set on a return to Spain and Deportivo in La Liga.
