According to the Mirror, Arsenal are still hopeful of landing Kylian Mbappe due to the teenager’s relationship with Arsene Wenger.
In recent days, it has been reported that Real Madrid have approached and agreed a deal with Monaco for their teenage star Mbappe but Arsenal are still keen on snapping up the Frenchman.
Mbappe’s Monaco future has been a huge talking point this summer with Manchester City and Real Madrid both tabling world record bids, the latter being worth £160m, for the starlet.
Arsenal have also been interested as well and they still remain hopeful despite the huge bids. French news outlet L’Equipe say that out of all the managers to be interested in Mbappe this summer, Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger is the one that he has the best relationship with.

Alexis Sanchez is looking more and more likely to leave The Emirates this summer and Mbappe is one of Arsenal’s targets to replace the Chilean, as well as Mbappe’s Monaco teammate Thomas Lemar, who looks more likely at the moment.
Last season was Mbappe’s breakout season, making 59 appearances, scoring 27 and assisting 17 times. At the age of 18, he has already won the Ligue 1 and the European Under 19’s Championship for France, who he has now won four senior caps for.
