Monaco and Real Madrid agree fee of €180m fee for Mbappe

According to Marca (@marca), Real Madrid and Monaco have agreed a fee of €180m (£160m) for Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe’s future has been a huge talking point this transfer window and he has been linked with Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool after his amazing Ligue 1 and Champions League campaigns.

This move would smash the world record transfer fee set by Manchester United after they signed Paul Pogba from Juventus for £89m.

Marca says that Real are ready to “pulverise” all transfer record fees as this looks like an unbreakable transfer record if the deal comes through.

Marca also say that “have reached an agreement in principle with Monaco for the transfer of Kylian Mbappe,” they add by saying that Pogba’s transfer fee could be “ancient history”.

This means that Arsenal will miss out on Mbappe but it is very unlikely that they would be willing to pay the huge sum of £160m for the French youngster anyway.

Arsenal’s main concern will now be how Mbappe’s transfer could affect their chase for Thomas Lemar.
