Earlier this month Arsenal signed star striker Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon for an initial £46.5 million.
He will become the 28th Frenchman to have made a competitive appearance for the Gunners, most likely at the Community Shield match against Chelsea in just under two weeks time.
At Lyon the 26-year-old made 275 appearances over the course of eight seasons, scoring 129 goals. Last season saw him 28 goals in 30 Ligue 1 games.
